HRH Princess Sabeeka congratulated by Speaker

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal extended sincerest congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the Arab Women’s Day. She praised the achievements of Bahraini women in light of the comprehensive development march spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She also voiced keenness of the Representatives Council on supporting Bahraini women in cooperation with the executive branch and highlight their role and contributions in international parliamentary gatherings. She also pointed out the council’s support to SCW’s programmes and activities out of belief in its vital role in supporting Bahraini women and achieving aspirations. The Representatives Council Speaker described the successful march of Bahraini women as a pioneering approach and a good experience benefiting other countries and institutions in the region. She affirmed that the Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy appreciates the interest shown by the international parliamentary community in the progress made by Bahraini women. She stressed keenness of the Bahraini parliamentary delegations to highlight the accomplishments of Bahraini women and their contribution to building modern Bahrain.
