Bahrain, Egypt foreign ministers stress close relations

Cairo, Feb. 1 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met in Cairo his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry. Shaikh Khalid affirmed the close historical relations between Bahrain and Egypt, characterized by firm foundations and constant communication on various issues, leading up to prosperity at all levels. He also commended Egypt’s pivotal role in preserving Arab national security and defending Arab interests and issues. The Egyptian minister expressed his country’s pride in the distinguished brotherly relations with Bahrain, reviewing ways to enhance them to benefit both countries and peoples. He also commended Bahrain’s unwavering efforts and important role in maintaining security and stability in the region.
