Bahrain and Italy sign tourism cooperation agreement

Rome, Feb.3 (BNA): Industry Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani and Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBAC) Undersecretary of State Lorenza Bonaccorsi had today signed a cooperation agreement.
The deal was sealed on the sidelines of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to Italy.
This agreement aims to increase tourism flows by encouraging individual and organized trips between the two countries, in addition to strengthening partnership in the field of promoting food and agricultural products and various tourism products, including sustainable tourism
The two countries also commit to intensify cooperation between administrative structures and organize training programs in tourism management.
They will exchange information and practices related to the organization and management in the field of tourism and share latest developments related to tourism legislation, collection of data and statistics and the protection of natural heritage.
Alzayani, also Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) chairman, said that the agreement would contribute to providing new job opportunities that support economic growth in line with 2030 Bahrain economic vision.
“We are proud to establish this partnership and look forward to stimulating bilateral tourism between Bahrain and Italy and benefiting from this opportunity to achieve the common goals and aspirations on all levels”, he said.
