Bahraini citizens' keenness on humanitarian work praised

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa lauded the humanitarian initiative of Interior Ministry employee Captain Yaqoob Yusef who visited a Peruvian student after a video clip spread on social media networks showing him sitting in the middle of a road, under a lamp-post, in Peru, with a school book in his hand preparing for an exam due to unavailability of electricity in his home and the region where he lives. HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the kind gesture of Captain Yaqoob Yusef reflects keenness to project Bahrain’s bright image in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who is considered an inspiration to citizens in humanitarian work. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa was speaking as he received today Captain Yaqoob Yusef. He praised his humanitarian initiative, describing it as a model to emulate and a reflection of citizens’ keenness to contribute to humanitarian work all over the world. He listened to a detailed briefing on the trip made by Captain Yaqoob Yusef which resulted in building the Peruvian child’s house and providing equipment to schools in the region where he lives. Among other festivities, the governorate marked the national days of the Kingdom of Bahrain and lifted pictures of HM the King and HH Shaikh Nasser. During the meeting, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received the city’s keys pendant from the Peruvian Presidency, the Medal of Honour and a special pendant offered to him. Captain Yaqoob Yusef expressed sincerest thanks and respect to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his tremendous support to humanitarian work.
