Call to choose best entries in photography and videography contest

Manama, Feb. 19 (BNA): The Executive Office of the National Plan “Bahrainouna” [Our Bahrain] has called on the public to vote for the best participations in the first Photography & Videography Contest “Bahrainouna Through our Lens” aimed to reflect Bahrain's national values. People can now vote online for the submissions by visiting bahrainouna.com and clicking on the contest’s banner to view the submissions under each value, then vote for their favorite by clicking on the vote icon, the Office said. When voting, people should consider the submission’s reflection of the national value it represents as well as the creative aspect. Voting closes at midnight on March 5, it added. The Office has received more than 500 participations from citizens and residents in the Kingdom. The winning submissions will be selected according to the public vote in parallel with the evaluation of the jury members. The winning submissions will be announced and honored at a ceremony next March. The three winners in the photography and videography categories will be awarded cash prizes up to BD500. Bahrainouna’s Photography & Videography Contest aims to provide citizens and residents, professional and amateur photographers with an opportunity to unleash their creativity and express their views on the values of citizenship by reflecting them in photographs and videos. The topics include belonging, loyalty, pride, appreciation, forgiveness, coexistence, security and tranquility, good citizenship, diversity, social responsibility, solidarity, freedom, human rights, fairness and justice, consultation, democracy, public participation and compatibility. The contest is a part of various activities and events organized by the Executive Office to raise awareness of the national values and involve citizens and residents in the content creation of the National Plan “Bahrainouna”.
