Speaker receives British Ambassador

Manama, Feb.20 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal stressed Bahrain’s keenness on bolstering relations of friendship and expanding joint cooperation with the United Kingdom. Receiving British Ambassador to Bahrain Roddy Drummond, she stressed the necessity of consolidating joint cooperation in all fields and enhancing long-standing historic relations binding the two countries. The Speaker hailed parliamentary relations of friendship and cooperation between the Council of Representatives, the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The British ambassador lauded solid relations binding Bahrain and the UK, as well as strong cooperation. He hailed Bahrain’s development strides in different fields.
