Public safety tops HRH Crown Prince's priorities, says Information Minister

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has paid tribute to the professional national medical competencies for their round-the-clock screening of all passengers coming from countries affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) upon their arrival at the kingdom’s various exists.
The minister also praised the cooperation of citizens and residents whose hearts, he said, are united in an exemplary show of love for Bahrain, thus reflecting the very nature of Bahrainis, who have a sense of patriotism and are keen to preserve the security of the homeland and the safety of its people.
The minister stressed that the close and round-the-clock follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on the latest developments of the virus and on the kingdom’s precautionary measures to prevent its spread are in line with his desire to ensure the provision of all health services and medical care to the citizens and residents, as well as his keenness to place the safety of Bahrainis on top of his priorities.
Al-Romaihi asserted that HRH the Crown Prince is “heartbeat” of Bahraini youth and their future, as well as a role model for leadership, hard-work and dedication in serving the nation and achieving the citizens’ aspirations, under the comprehensive development project, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Information Minister also expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Customs Affairs, the security authorities and all state departments for their day-and-night efficient efforts to ensure the safety of the nation from any health problems, noting that the on-going coordination and cooperation among all the relevant departments aims to harness all national capabilities and potentials for the sake of the kingdom and its citizens.
He affirmed that Bahrainis’ dedication in defending their nation is not surprising, noting that the citizens of Bahraini have always been known for their courage and cohesion under various circumstances and situations.
The minister called on the citizens and residents to obtain news about COVID-19 from official sources, and to avoid rumours and inaccurate information, adding that the Information Affairs Ministry, through its various platforms, provides first-hand information about the developments of the virus, in line with its national responsibility to provide accurate and trustworthy information, with efficiency and transparency.
