National Guard, Pakistani army sign MoU

Manama, Mar. 3 (BNA): The meeting of the Joint Committee between the National Guard and the Pakistani Army was chaired by National Guard Director of Staff Major General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa. The meeting witnessed a signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between National Guard Director of Staff and Major General Zahid Mahmood, Director General, Foreign Military Cooperation of the Pakistani Army. Major General Shaikh Abdulaziz stressed that the MoU comes to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences and implement joint exercises between the two sides, according to the plans and directives of National Guard President His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa to activate coordination. He pointed out that the National Guard is keen to enhance the joint efforts with the Pakistani army, which resulted in the implementation of several exercises such as (Badr) that specialize in the areas of fighting terrorism and protecting vital installations, that have been implemented in Bahrain and Pakistan during the past years.
