Foreign Minister meets Canadian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy

Manama, Mar. 5 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today met here today, Former Prime Minister and Canadian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for Canada’s bid for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council and, Joe Clark, and his accompanying delegation, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Present at the meeting was Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. The minister welcomed Mr. Joe Clark, praising the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Canada, and affirming the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination on various issues for the common interests of the two countries and peoples. Joe Clark congratulated Dr. Zayani on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressing his pride in the strong bilateral friendship relations, based on mutual appreciation and mutual, expressing hope that cooperation between the two countries will be enhanced in various fields. He wished Bahrain more progress and prosperity.
