Shura Council congratulates Bahraini women on International’s Women Day

Manama, Mar.8 (BNA): The Shura Council praised the role and efforts made by Bahraini women, valuing their contributions in building and advancing society in various fields. The council praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s initiatives to elevate the status of Bahraini women, through steps and procedures implemented by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. Marking International Women’s Day, the Council praised Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for the major role she has played and the awards offered in advancing Bahraini women in all fields. The Council emphasized that International Women's Day this year focuses on equality and realization of women's rights and comes at a time when the Kingdom has reached high levels of achievement and progress in achieving equality as one of the sustainable development goals that the Kingdom continues to enhance.
