HRH Premier orders to double the value of social security benefits

Manama, Apr. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, has ordered to allocate a budget of BD 5.5 million, to double the value of social security benefits which include 17,000 Bahraini families, which will be disbursed in mid-April. HRH Premier also ordered doubling the value of the disability pension, which benefits 12,000 persons with disabilities who are registered in the lists of Labor and Social Development Ministry. HRH's directives came within the framework of his support for needy families and individuals with special needs in various occasions, including the Holy Month of Ramadan.
