HM King receives Shura, Representatives Councils Chairpersons

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace today, in the presence of his Personal Representative HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal and Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh who extended to him sincerest congratulations on the holy month of Ramadan, wishing him many happy returns, abundant health and happiness and further growth and prosperity to Bahrain and its people. HM the King exchanged Ramadan good wishes with the Shura and Representatives Councils Chairpersons, thanking them for their noble feelings. He praised the pivotal role of the legislature in backing the national efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), pointing out the key role of the competent parties in this respect. He also commended cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to serve the nation and meet citizens’ aspirations for more growth and prosperity. HM the King reviewed with the Shura and Representatives Councils Chairpersons local issues, thanking citizens and residents for their commitment to the precautionary measures to fight COVID-19. He expressed confidence in Bahrain’s ability to overcome this phase thanks to awareness and cooperation of all.
