HRH Premier gives directives to conduct studies on ways to address emergencies rapidly, efficiently

Manama, Apr. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the importance of adhering to the spirit of innovation and creativity in the performance of various government departments, as well as of constantly developing the human competencies commensurate with the requirements of various circumstances.
“Upgrading the efficiency and standards in the delivery of services to the citizens, and developing what has been built so far in this regard are the ultimate goal of the government’s keenness on providing everything that facilitates their living,” HRH Premier said.
The Prime Minister directed the ministerial committees, each in their respective capacity, to conduct studies and discuss the possible options that ensure that government bodies are capable of swiftly addressing any urgent developments that may result from the current crisis in the coming period so as to mitigate their impacts in various sectors.
HRH Premier stressed the importance of providing scientific studies that help in dealing with current challenges and facing any crises that may arise in the future, especially with regard to developing medical and health services, including ambulance and emergency services.
HRH Premier made the statements as he received at his palace in Riffa today, Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak l Khalifa, Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Deputy Premier, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, in the presence of HH Shaikh Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Khalia.
HRH Premier exchanged Ramadan greetings and good wishes with the audience, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless Bahrain and its people with further prosperity, and to protect them from evil and pandemics.
The Prime Minister also expressed sincere congratulations to all Bahraini citizens, including public nd private sector employees, paying special tribute to the medical and nursing staff who are at the front-lines, confronting the coronavirus (COVID-19) and setting themselves as role models for dedication and sacrifice in combating the pandemic.
The Prime Minister said that the tremendous national efforts being exerted by the medical and nursing competencies to protect the safety and health of everyone have increased the level of awareness of the citizens and residents, supported the government’s efforts to fight the virus significantly and placed Bahrain among leading countries regarding the recovery rates and success in containing the pandemic locally.
HRH Premier emphasised that “the current conditions make us more eager to enhance the performance of various government departments, and to continue upgrading the human resources by benefiting from this experience, especially with regards to the health sector, medical staff, as well as the emergency and ambulance services so as to be able to deliver services to the citizens more rapidly and efficiently.”
The Prime Minister was informed about what has been done so far regarding his directives to facilitate for the citizens amid the current circumstances, meet their various needs, as well as support the economy and the private sector enterprises.
HRH Premier underlined the need to preserve the kingdom’s marine sites, environment and wildlife, given their importance in achieving food security, as well as in protecting heritage sites with great tourism value.
