HM King's support for call to prayer for humanity lauded by SCIA

Manama, May 7 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s backing of the call issued by the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to pray for humanity has been praised by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) . The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity had called on people of different religions and races to unite on Thursday, May 14, supplicate, fast, do good and pray to Allah the Almighty to lift the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic off humanity. In a statement, the SCIA expressed deep appreciation of the tremendous efforts the world is exerting to confront the pandemic, paying special tribute to medical and nursing staff, research and studies centres and taskforces and follow-up committees. The SCIA urged believers to supplicate to Allah the Almighty to lift the pandemic off humanity, and to bless the patients with speedy recovery.
