Ambassador thanks UAE for facilitating Bahraini citizens’ return

Abu Dhabi, May 24 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Arab Emirates, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the brotherly United Arab Emirates for the positive understanding and cooperation, and for facilitating the return of Bahraini citizens residing in the UAE, as well as those coming from other countries and arranging for their safe return as part of the national efforts to confront the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The ambassador expressed the appreciation and gratitude of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UAE for this noble brotherly stance, which indicates the depth of brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples. He appreciated the growth and development of bilateral ties in various fields, in light of the high attention and care accorded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and his brother President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Ambassador said that in implementation of the directives of His Majesty the King to facilitate the return of citizens who wish to return to the Kingdom, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Abu Dhabi has made the necessary arrangements for the return of about 400 Bahraini citizens from the UAE and other countries. He added that the arrangements were made in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the UAE and relevant official authorities, within the kingdom’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic’s repercussions. Ambassador Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said the embassy will continue its efforts and follow-up to look after and care for all Bahraini citizens in the sisterly United Arab Emirates.
