Bahraini-UK solid relations stressed

Manama, June 11 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met today, via video conference, with the Chairman of the Defence Committee of the British House of Commons, Tobias Ellwood. Also attending were Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roderick Drummond, in the presence of the two countries’ military attaches. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah lauded solid relations between the two friendly countries and growing cooperation mainly in the defence field. He said the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, leads a sophisticated and successful model of renewable reform and supports the International efforts actively and positively to combat all forms of terrorism. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah reviewed main regional developments and the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to maintain stability. He stressed the importance of the international community’s efforts to remove all the causes of tension and contain the repercussions of the Coronavirus outbreak. For his part, the Chairman of the Defence Committee at the British House of Commons praised growing bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation at all levels, wishing the Kingdom more progress and prosperity.
