Speaker congratulates HRH Premier on UNESCO honour

Manama, June 13 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal congratulated His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa on the UNESCO honour. The Preparatory Group of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) approved yesterday, Friday, HRH Premier’s initiative to celebrate the International Day of Conscience, being the best means to mobilize the efforts of the International Community to consolidate peace, solidarity and understanding in order to build a sustainable world. The Speaker hailed the pioneering international initiative which further embellishes Bahrain’s record in promoting peace. Tolerance and coexistence and the renunciation of bigotry, terrorism and extremism, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. She paid tribute to HRH the Premier for spearheading the key initiative, adding that Bahrain will always remain the Kingdom of humanity, lofty values and peace, led by HM the King.
