M'SIAN PM BEGINS TWO-DAY VISIT TO INDONESIA TODAY




KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Tun
Razak begins a two-day official visit to Indonesia Tuesday.

A Foreign Ministry statement said Najib is scheduled to have a four-eyed
meeting with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

It said a delegation meeting would also be held to discuss issues of mutual
interest with the aim to further enhance and strengthen friendship and bilateral
cooperation.

The statement said Najib is also scheduled to receive a courtesy call by
Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla and meet the Chairman of the People's
Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Speaker of the House of Representatives
(DPR).

It said Susilo will host an official dinner in Najib's honour Wednesday
evening.

The statement also said that the visit is expected to further strengthen
bilateral cooperation in various fields such as trade, investment, education,
infrastructure development, Islamic finance and capacity building.

It is also aimed at promoting closer cooperation on regional and
international issues of mutual interest, it added.

Najib will be accompanied on the visit by his wife, Rosmah
Mansor, Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, several other Cabinet ministers and
senior government officers, the statement said.
