HM King ratifies and issues protocol

Manama, June 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today ratified and issued law 19 of 2020, endorsing the protocol amending the agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on avoiding double taxation and preventing fiscal evasion in relation to income taxes, following its endorsement by the Shura Council and Council of Representatives. The protocol attached to this law was signed by the two countries in Islamabad on the 8th of April 2019. The Prime Minister and ministers, each in his jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of the law, which shall come into effect a day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
