HRH the Crown Prince issues an edict, restructuring the National WTO Committee

Manama, July 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today issued Edict 10 of 2020, re-structuring the National World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. The edict named the following as members of the committee: 1. Commerce Affairs Undersecretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism - Deputy Chairman 2. Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism - Secretary General 3. Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism - Member 4. Assistant Undersecretary for Ports Affairs at Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications - Member 5. Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Relations and Investment at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy - Member 6. Director of the Foreign Trade Relations Directorate at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism - Member 7. Director of the Organisations Directorate at in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Member 8. Director of Customs Planning and Policy Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Interior - Member 9. Director of the Public Health Directorate at the Ministry of Health - Member 10. Director of the Financial Stability Directorate at the Central Bank of Bahrain - Member 11. Director of the Planning and Development Directorate - at the National Oil and Gas Authority 12. Director of the Foreign Tax Relations Directorate at the National Bureau for Revenue - Member 13. The National Ozone Officer at the Supreme Council for the Environment - Member 14. Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain - Member 15. First Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Member 16. Chief of Marketing at the Ministry of Information Affairs - Member The Edict stated that Edict 33/2013 on naming the members of the National WTO Committee was abrogated. The Edict also stated that all entities mentioned above in their respective capacities shall implement the provisions of the edict, which takes immediate effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
