Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority CEO

Manama, July 15 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, met online with the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Nader Khalil Al Moayyed. Dr. Shaikha Rana valued BTEA efforts in developing the tourism sector and supporting the national economy, hailing its initiatives that are in line with the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030. The undersecretary affirmed the ministry's support to the various programs of BTEA in order to attract Gulf and international tourists. She stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the ministry and BTEA to promote the Kingdom as a tourist destination and attract regional and international conferences and forums to Bahrain through the Bahraini embassies and missions abroad, especially in light of the spread of COVID-19 that affected the tourism and aviation sectors in particular. Al Moayyed expressed appreciation for the ministry’s support, affirming the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the two sides to promote tourism in the Kingdom and support sustainable development.
