Kyrgyzstan’s confirmed COVID-19 cases reach 13,101

Bishkek, July 17, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan on Friday reported 603 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 13,101. Head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova at a regular news briefing said that among the new cases 123 are medical workers, raising the tally of contracted medical workers to 2199, including 592 recoveries. Akmatova said that there are currently 709 confirmed cases, who are receiving treatment in hospitals, 21 of them are in intensive care units. She also announced the recovery of 86 more cases of COVID-19 infection, raising the total recoveries in the country to 6096. The death toll reached 173 after 6 more fatalities were added. A total of 2,406 coronavirus tests were conducted in the country in the past 24 hours.
