Kyrgyzstan repatriates its nationals from Turkey

Bishkek, July 22, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, July 22, another plane with compatriots has landed in Kyrgyzstan. 341 Kyrgyzstanis, including young children have arrived by charter flight of Turkish Airlines on the Istanbul-Bishkek-Istanbul route, organized for the export of Turkish citizens from Kyrgyzstan and Kyrgyz citizens from Turkey, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. This flight was performed as part of implementation of agreements, reached by the Foreign Ministries of the two countries in accordance with the instruction of President and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the ongoing work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens, located in foreign countries because of temporary closure of borders and the suspension of international passenger air traffic due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the world. In connection with the resumption of international air travel by Turkey and the abolition of restrictions on the entry of foreign nationals, it has become possible to organize transit traffic for Kyrgyzstanis, previously located in United States, Canada, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, the Czech Republic, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, France, Ukraine, Romania, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland and Ethiopia. The work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens who are in foreign countries and wish to return to their homeland continues.
