967 new coronavirus cases reported in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan registered 967 new cases of coronavirus infection and community - acquired pneumonia on Thursday, raising the total number of infections to 30,126. Ainura Akmatova, the Head of the Public Health Department of the country's Health Ministry said that 238 are laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 729 are clinical and epidemiologically confirmed cases of COVID-19 (community - acquired pneumonia). Among the new cases, 49 are medical workers' contamination, bringing the total number of contracted medics to 2,527. The representative of the Health Ministry added that a total of 16,791 coronavirus patients have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic, including 1,031 who were discharged from hospitals over the past day. Akmatova also reported 46 new virus-related deaths. Thus, the country's death toll stands at 1,169. Currently, 13,201 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals.
