Epidemiological situation in country remains difficult, says Kyrgyz deputy PM

Bishkek, July 29, 2020 /Kabar/. The epidemiological situation in the country remains difficult, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova told during a briefing. She noted measures taken by the Government at the beginning of the pandemic allowed buying medical equipment and medicines in volumes and terms that were available. "No one expected such a situation around the world. International organizations organized the purchase of medical equipment to ensure that everyone had access to it, as rich countries could buy products for years to come. New cases are now being reported. According to the University of Hopkins, European countries are facing a second wave," Ismailova said. According to her, at present there are no problems with the supply of medicines in the country. "We are constantly monitoring the issue of providing with medicines. Now the Government is considering the issue of procurement," Ismailova concluded.
