Foreign Minister receives call from Egyptian counterpart

Manama, July 29 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry. Dr. Al Zayani praised the strong relations between both countries and their development in various fields in light of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. Al Zayani affirmed Bahrain's full support of all the efforts made by Egypt to face various challenges and threats to its national security and stability, stressing that security of Egypt is an integral part of Bahrain's security. He praised Egypt's active role in defending Arab interests and issues and safeguarding Arab national security and noted the Cairo Declaration initiative launched by President Al Sisi to solve the Libyan crisis, and which called for an immediate ceasefire and ensure the unity and integrity of the Libyan territories and the establishment of peace in Libya. The Egyptian minister expressed his country's pride in the historical relations with Bahrain and keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with the Kingdom in various fields. He also expressed appreciation for Bahrain's support, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
