Champassak fork out over 4 billion kip to grow cassava

(KPL) The Champassak Agriculture Promotion Import-Export Co., Ltd invested this year about 4.29 bill kip to grow cassava for selling to local factory.
Director General of Champassak Agriculture Promotion Import-Export Co.,Ltd, Mr. Vanna Keophilom disclosed that the his company started to plant cassava on February this year.
The company planed to grow cassava on 300 ha and expect to complete within May.
So far, the plantation of cassava of the company just completed by 80 per cent of all area.
The field plantation of cassava located in Bachiangchaleunsouk district of Champassak province.
He said that eighty per cent of all produce will be sold to the factory of Laos in Champhone district, Champassak province and other twenty per cent will be sold to Vietnamese factory in Lao Ngam district of Saravan province.
Mr. Vanna said that cassava plantation aimed to promote farmer’s produce in poor district, especially is Ba Chiangchaleunsouk district.
