Address of Kyrgyz President on National Day of Mourning for COVID-19 victims

Bishkek, July 30, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, July 30 President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov sent an address to people of Kyrgyzstan in connection with the declared Day of National Mourning, his press service reported. The Kyrgyz President's address says: "Dear compatriots! Today is the Day of National Mourning in memory of those who became victims of coronavirus in our country. On this day, all Kyrgyz people will remember those who died because of coronavirus infection, express condolences and say words of support to their families and relatives. The disease that has engulfed all countries in the world has brought much grief to Kyrgyzstan too, we have lost our citizens. As a result of the disease, parents, children, relatives and loved ones of many Kyrgyzstanis have passed away. The country has suffered an irreparable loss. May the earth lie light upon them, may they rest in peace. We offer our deep condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims, and call on them to be courageous and steadfast. Dear compatriots! The struggle for the life of our citizens, for the health of our people is not over yet. This disease has become a difficult test of strength for all of us. The fight against the illness, preservation and protection of public health is a national struggle. By the power of unity, through well-coordinated joint work and unity, we will definitely defeat this disease! I share the bitterness of the loss of all compatriots who have lost their parents, sons and daughters, their relatives. May the Almighty protect our steadfast and courageous people, our beloved Kyrgyzstan! May peace, harmony and prosperity always reign on our fertile land".
