Speaker hails UAE success in reaching agreement to halt annexation of Palestinian territories

Manama, Aug. 14 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the distinguished diplomatic efforts of the sisterly United Arab Emirates (UAE), citing its success in reaching an agreement to halt the annexation of Palestinian territories, as part of everyone's aspiration for a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The speaker affirmed that this historic Emirati diplomatic achievement supports the Palestinian cause, and the Palestinian people, as it opens wider horizons of international cooperation to impose peace, promote the values of coexistence, as well as the principles of tolerance among peoples. It also confirms the UAE’s pioneering role in strengthening human fraternity among all, she added. The speaker expressed her confidence that the deal would stimulate more effective steps that would increase the chances of reaching peace in the Middle East, consolidate peace and stability in the region, as well as strengthen the pillars of security, progress and prosperity.
