Royal care has made Bahrain role model for religious freedom, sectarian pluralism: Speaker

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s keynote address to the nation marking the end of this year’s Ashoora commemoration season.
She stressed that the royal praise of the relevant institutions, Shaikhs, scholars, Jaffari Endowments Council, community centres’ leaders and the volunteer field work teams for their distinguished and responsible organisational efforts, as well as commitment to following up and implementing the precautionary measures set by Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, is a badge of national honour to all of them.
The speaker stressed that HM the King’s support for religious freedoms has consolidated humanitarian values and principles in respecting sectarian pluralism, tolerance, co-existence and harmony among all social segments, which, she said, is a source of pride.
The royal care has made Bahrain a pioneering humane and civilisational role model for its people’s commitment, harmony, cohesion and peace, she said.
She affirmed that the Bahraini people, armed with their national fundamentals, Islamic principles and civilisational values, are resolved to continue, under the comprehensive development march spearheaded by HM King Hamad, dealing with the challenges created by the current circumstances responsibly, and with cooperation and enlightened thought.
She prayed to Allah the Almighty to lift the pandemic and to protect Bahrain, Muslims and the entire world.
