HM King's approach has promoted charity work culture, says Speaker

Manama, Sept. 4 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the kingdom’s keenness to join the International Community in marking the International Day of Charity, celebrated worldwide on September 5 every year.
She stressed that thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s humanitarian approach and directives, charity work has become a culture in Bahrain.
The speaker affirmed that charity work has been deeply rooted in the culture of the Bahraini society and associated with it throughout its long history, noting that the values of giving and social solidarity are adopted by individuals, social segments and families, in addition to charity funds and entities.
She paid tribute to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for successfully achieving the Millennium Development Goals, and continuous efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
She highlighted the unwavering parliamentary support for implementing social security measures and systems aimed at ensuring the requirements of decent life for the citizens.
She expressed deep pride in the landmark initiatives launched to encourage productive families through the award of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), and various programmes and projects launched by the SCW to promote social charity values.
She commended the distinguished role played by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), led by the Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and RHF Board of Trustees, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to highlight the authentic Bahraini values of giving and solidarity at the local and regional levels, as well as deliver relief and humanitarian aid to brotherly and friendly countries, and implement development projects there, in accordance with a modern vision of charity and humanitarian work.
