Senator Rosen says new relations may lead to lasting peace in Middle East

Washington, Sept. 13 (BNA): U.S. Senator for Nevada Jacky Rosen has welcomed the announcement that Bahrain and Israel will establish full diplomatic relations. “The news is a continuation of developments in the Middle East that may ultimately lead to lasting peace in the region,” Senator Rosen said in a statement. “Regional cooperation can promote a more prosperous and secure future for all,” she said. “I applaud those who helped to secure this agreement, which demonstrates that American diplomatic leadership drives peace and stability.” The senator said she would encourage other Arab nations to follow in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates’ footsteps.
