Two Matches Scheduled Saturday to Kick off Qatar Basketball Cup

Doha, October 09 (QNA) - Two matches will be held tomorrow, Saturday, at Al-Gharafa club hall, in the start of the competition of the Men's Qatar Basketball Cup for the sports season (2019-2020), which will continue until the Oct. 20 with the participation of 9 clubs: Al-Sadd, Al-Khor, Al-Wakrah, Al-Rayyan, Al-Arabi, Al-Ahly, Al-Gharafa, Qatar SC, and Al-Shamal. In the first match, which is a preliminary to the quarter-finals, Al-Sadd will play against Al-Khor, which are the last two clubs in the general league table, and the winner will face Al-Shamal, champion of the general league, in the quarter-finals of the competition. The second match brings Al Wakrah and Al Rayyan, which is the first match of the quarter-finals. Al-Arabi was crowned champion of Qatar Basketball Cup last season, after its victory over Al-Wakrah (75-71) in the final match of the competition. (QNA)
