Bahrain attends GGC undersecretaries meeting

Manama, Oct.22 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Ministry Underscretary for Financial Affairs Youssef Abdulla Humood took part in the 59th GCC Undersecretaries’ Committee, which was held today remotely. The virtual session was in preparation for the the 112th GCC Financial Committee Meeting. GCC Assistant-Secretary-General for Economic Affairs and Development and the undersecretaries of member countries took part. The undersecretaries discussed the financial and economic repercussions resulting from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and their impact on business sectors. They also reviewed the preventive measures taken by GCC countries to curb the pandemic and mitigate ots fallout. They also followed up the implementation of financial and economic resolutions and discussed means of strengthening the GCC joint action in post COVID-19 era. The committee reviewed minutes of relevant committees, including the GCC Monetary Agencies and central banks.
