SCE chief highlights investment opportunities for expatriate Indian businessmen

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina, has called on expatriate Indian businessmen to invest in the kingdom, and encouraged them to avail of the incentives provided by Bahrain for successful projects, including the environment ones. Dr. Bin Daina was speaking during a remote induction lecture held for the members of the Bahrain India Society and a number of Indian investors residing in the kingdom. The SCE chief commended the various efforts made by the Bahrain India Society to raise awareness among Indian residents of the Kingdom, stressing the depth of Bahraini-Indian relations. He highlighted the Supreme Council for the Environment’s keenness to strengthen cooperation ties with NGOs in order to spread environmental culture among citizens and residents, in a way that would advance the sustainable development process. He explained the SCE’s strategy and objectives, and shed light on its various directorates, including those that provide services to clients and are linked directly to investors and customers in the Kingdom, such as the Environmental Assessment and Control Directorate and the Environmental Licensing Directorate. Dr. Bin Daina called on the participants in the lecture to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the kingdom to foreign investors, and the facilities provided by the SCE for various projects, highlighting Bahrain’s incentives for investors, and the role of the SCE in controlling and assessing environmental projects. Members of the Bahrain India Society expressed their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Bin Daina for his detailed presentation about Bahrain’s investment opportunities, especially regarding projects that preserve the environment and sustainable development. They pointed out that Bahrain boasts all success requirements for investments thanks to its robust infrastructure, long experience and good reputation. Dr. Bin Daina answered the participants’ questions and queries about investment opportunities in the kingdom.
