Ministry of Culture and Sports Organizes Sunday Series of Sessions

Doha, November 15 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture and Sports will organize as of Sunday a series of sessions under the title "Historical Events in Qatar: Challenges and Responses," at the Qatar National Theater. The sessions will shed light on the junctions of national history with in depth analysis and a contemporary vision to reveal it to the current and future generations to introduce them to components of their identity and the conditions for the progress of society. The series includes five sessions per week, during the period leading up to the celebration of the Qatar National Day, which falls on Dec. 18 of each year. The first historical session will be held on Sunday, under the title "Qataris between action and reaction ... a historical approach," presented by the writer and researcher Khaled bin Ghanem Al Ali, in which he presents an overview of the philosophy of history and linking it to historical facts. He will also talk about the heroic role that the Qataris have written with all their components and segments, and how the Founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani led the Qataris to advanced local, regional and international levels, and the disclosure of the historical event through British and Ottoman documents and other sources.
