Foreign Minister receives US State Department’s Deputy Assistant Secretary

Manama, Nov. 15 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received at the Ministry’s General Court today, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs in the Near East Bureau at the U.S. Department of State, Timothy Lenderking, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Maggie Nardi. The Minister praised the historic relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and joint bilateral coordination for the benefit of both countries and people. He also valued the strategic role of the US in preserving the security and stability of the region. Lenderking expressed pride in the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, praising the Kingdom’s efforts in promoting the culture of peace, prosperity and stability in the Middle East. He also wished the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
