Newspapers Highlight Qatar-Tunisia Strong, Strategic Partnership

Doha, November 16 (QNA) - Qatari daily newspapers highlighted the official talks that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held with HE President of the Tunisian Republic Kais Saied, stressing that the talks came as a confirmation of the depth of Qatari-Tunisian relations. The newspapers noted the important fruitful results at the bilateral and international levels in favor of joint cooperation relations with the aim of transforming them into a comprehensive strategic partnership in all fields by strengthening relations and coordination in regional and international issues of common interest. Al-Sharq considered that the meetings and exchanged visits between HH the Amir and HE President of the Republic of Tunisia reflects the strong and sincere will at the highest levels to develop brotherly relations and cooperation between the two countries. It said that the official session of talks held at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday seek to push the strong bilateral relations to broader horizons in the interest of the two brotherly people. Al-Sharq stressed that relations between Qatar and Tunisia extends throughout history and is deepened by the common interests of the two people and the desire and strong political will to promote and advance them at all levels. The newspaper emphasized the keenness of two countries to make the bilateral relations a model to be emulated between Arab countries, adding that it is not strange for the two countries to share positions on a number of regional and international issues such as Libya, and even proposing initiatives based on a common vision, such as the proposal to hold a conference for a Western-Islamic dialogue on the issue of terrorism to help avoid confusion between Muslims and extremists. Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that Qatar's continuous support for Tunisia reflects Qatar principles in its support for the Arab people who have gone out to the fields demanding freedom and justice, given that Tunisia is the cradle of the Arab Spring revolutions. Al-Arab newspaper hailed the visit of HE President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied to Qatar, where he held talks with HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Observers unanimously agreed that its results will strengthen the partnership of the two countries and reflect Qatar's permanent support of Tunisia.
