Strict Safety Measures For AFC Champions League Western Zone Matches

Doha, November 18 (QNA) - Qatar Football Association (QFA) have implemented measures and protocols to ensure the safety of players and tournament officials taking part in the 2020 AFC Champions League Western Zone matches, which will continue until December 13th.
All players and tournament officials were subjected to strict health measures, as a preventive action to combat COVID-19. These are the health measures that QFA follows in cooperation with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and all relevant authorities in the country.
Preventive measures includes mandatory COVID-19 testing for all participants, the use of safe transportation, the regular sterilization of all stadiums, training sites and media facilities, in addition to ensuring a swift and well-resourced front line response during the tournament. All stadiums are equipped with medical clinics fitted with a team of medical staff.
In terms of safety and security measures and procedures for the tournaments stadiums and facilities that will host matches and training sessions of the participating teams, evacuation tests were conducted for the stadiums, with the aim of ensuring the level of readiness to face any emergency situation and educating stadium staff and private security personnel about effective evacuation procedures, as these procedures and measures aim to present the championship in a distinctive way at all levels.
