The Peninsula Praises Continuous Achievements of Qatar Airways

Doha, November 19 (QNA) - The Peninsula newspaper praised, in its Thursday editorial, the continuous achievements of Qatar Airways as airlines around the world struggle to continue their operations. The newspaper said that the airline said on Wednesday that it has finalized a codeshare agreement with Air Canada applicable for travel between Doha and Toronto. The agreement reinforces Qatar Airways long-term commitment to Canadian passengers, and to boosting Canadas global connectivity to support the recovery of tourism and trade. It pointed out that Qatar Airways is one of the few airlines to have continuously flown throughout the pandemic to take passengers home safely and reliably. Since the onset of the pandemic, Qatar Airways has flown over 175 million kilometers, taking home over 2.3 million passengers on over 37,000 flights. The airline has also operated more than 400 charter flights across the world. Qatar Airways onboard safety measures for passengers and cabin crew include the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for cabin crew and a complimentary protective kit and disposable face shields for passengers, the Qatari daily newspaper added. The Peninsula concluded its editorial by stressing that Qatar Airways is keen to provide security and safety on board of its aircraft and seeks to provide the best experience for its passengers.(QNA)
