Foreign Minister receives US Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs

Manama, Nov. 19 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani received Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs R. Clarke Cooper. The Undersecretary of Cabinet Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa and Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, were present. Dr. Zayani affirmed the strength of historical relations and the existing strategic partnership between the the two countries, based on solid foundations of mutual respect, appreciation, and common interests. He praised joint cooperation in various fields that has reached to comprehensive levels in a way that meets common aspirations for the benefit of the two countries and peoples. The American official praised the distinguished bilateral ties, noting Bahrain’s vital and effective role of in achieving security and establishing peace and stability in the Middle East region, He hailed the successful visit of the minister to Israel yesterday, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
