AFC Champions League: Shenhua Battle Past FC Tokyo

Doha, November 24 (QNA) - Shanghai Shenhua battled their way to a 1-0 victory against FC Tokyo, in the AFC Champions League Round of 16 match that took place at Education City Stadium on Tuesday. The veteran Chinese international Yu Hanchao converted a penalty in the 71st minute, giving Shenhua the maximum reward for a determined defensive performance which saw them leapfrog their opponents in the Group F standings. Shenhua now have six points from three matches, while FC Tokyo remain on four, with the teams to meet again at the same venue on Friday. (QNA)
