SIX MYANMAR NATIONALS DETAINED FOR FORGING DOCUMENTS
KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 (Bernama) -- Police have detained six Myanmar
nationals, including a woman, in connection with a syndicate which forged travel
documents.
Sentul district police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan said the suspects, aged
between 20 and 40, were picked up during a raid at a house in Bandar Manjalara
here on April 15.
He added that several documents were seized in the raid. They included four
passports issued by the Myanmar government, a Singaporean identity card, rubber
stamps, a Malaysian passport and an identity card, three Malaysian driving
licences, a Myanmar visa card and a computer.
"Police believe the suspects have been involved in such activities for
almost two years and that their clients are also Myanmar nationals, who paid at
least RM200 for each forged documents," he told reporters here Wednesday.
Zakaria said police were looking for another member of the syndicate, also a
Myanmar national.
