BRUNEI EYEING INVESTMENTS IN MALAYSIA

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has invited businessmen
from Brunei to invest in Malaysia, particularly in the Sabah Development
Corridor, the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy and Iskandar Malaysia in
Johor.

Prime Minister Najib Razak said Thursday that this was in line
with Brunei's interest to invest in Malaysia, as conveyed by the Sultan of
Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, during their four-eye meeting here Wednesday
night.

Speaking at a breakfast session with the Malaysian community here, the Prime
Minister said that at the moment, Brunei investors, through the country's
investment agency, were looking at developing an iconic hotel project in Kuala
Lumpur.

"I see this as an opportunity to demonstrate that our relations are soaring
to greater heights," he said.

He added that more Malaysian ministers would visit Brunei to not only
nurture bilateral relations but also follow-up on what had been discussed
at the meeting.

"We want the goodwill to cascade down to the daily lives of the peoples of
both countries," he added.
