MALAYSIAN PM RETURNS FROM BRUNEI VISIT

PETALING JAYA (Malaysia), April 30 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak
returned home Thursday after concluding a two-day working visit to Brunei
Darussalam to strengthen bilateral relations.

The special aircraft carrying Najib and his entourage arrived at the Royal
Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Subang, near here at 3.25 pm.

Najib was accompanied by his wife, Rosmah Mansor, Home Minister
Hishammuddin Hussein and wife, and Information, Communications
and Culture Minister Dr Rais Yatim and wife.

En route home, Najib and his delegation stopped in Kuching, Sarawak (in East
Malaysia) to attend the funeral of the wife of the Sarawak Chief Minister, Laila
Taib, who died of cancer Wednesday.

Najib's visit to Brunei was the first since he took over as Prime Minister
from Abdullah Ahmad Badawi earlier this month.

While in Bandar Seri Begawan, Najib held discussions with the Sultan of
Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, on various matters including the land and
maritime boundary between Malaysia and Brunei.
