Commander-in-chief receives UK Army’s General Staff Chief

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received here today the Chief of the General Staff at the British Army, General Sir Nicholas Carter. The commander-in-chief presented the UK's General Sir Nicholas Carter with the Order of Bahrain of the First Class, conferred on him by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander. The commander-in-chief conveyed the greetings of HM the King to the British Army’s Chief of the General Staff for his good efforts and fruitful role in strengthening the friendly Bahraini-British relations, as well as in enhancing cooperation and coordination in the military and defence fields. Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General, Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, and Defence Ministry’s Undersecretary, Major-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, were present.
