Speaker praises solid Bahraini-Egyptian relations

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has affirmed the depth of the fraternal and cooperation relations between Bahrain and Egypt, noting that the distinguished bilateral ties have always been based on mutual love and respect, as well as joint desire to reach the highest levels of bilateral cooperation that meets the aspirations of the brotherly countries and their peoples.
She said that the Bahraini-Egyptian relations are growing steadily thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which has made them a model to be emulated in relations between brotherly countries.
The Speaker made the statements while receiving here today the Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain, Yasser Chaban, whose prominent role in strengthening bilateral relations across various fields she lauded.
She underlined the “pivotal and strategic” role played by Egypt to support Arab and Islamic issues, praising the weight and historical status of Egypt in the hearts of all Arabs and Muslims thanks to its political, economic, intellectual and cultural contributions.
The speaker stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of HM King Hamad, to bolster joint cooperation with Egypt for the best interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, adding that Bahrain and its people will never forget Egypt’s stances in support of its security and stability.
She asserted that two countries' parliamentary cooperation, as well as their coordination and complementarity at various regional and international parliamentary gatherings will continue.
She lauded the contributions of the Egyptian expatriate community to the kingdom’s comprehensive development march, affirming that they enjoy love and respect in their second country.
The Egyptian Ambassador lauded the speaker’s keenness to further develop parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
He affirmed his country’s interest in further bolstering cooperation with Bahrain across various fields, praising the care enjoyed by the members of the Egyptian expatriate community at all levels, which, he said, reflects the depth of bilateral relations.
He conveyed to the Speaker the greetings of the Speaker of Egypt’s House of Representatives, Ali Abdel Aal, and President of the Egyptian Senate, Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq, in addition to their keenness to enhance joint parliamentary work.
