Bahrain; Germany hold 4th political consultations meeting

Manama, Dec.6(BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, chaired today the 4th meeting of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Germany. The session was held on the sidelines of the 16th Manama Dialogue. The German side was headed by the State Secretary at the German Federal Foreign Office, Miguel Berger. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah noted the strong relations between the two countries, noting their development at various levels in the interest of both countries and people. He highlighted the principles of the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its firm positions on regional and international issues. He commended the contributions of the Federal Republic of Germany in strengthening international peace and security, and its keenness to preserve the security of the Middle East region. He added that the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa focuses on peace as a strategic option to achieve security, development and prosperity for the people of the region. He stressed the importance of following up the implementation of the memorandums of understanding and agreements signed between the two sides in a way that serves both countries and people. For his part, Secretary Berger affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is an important partner for his country in the Middle East region, praising the close friendship and cooperation between the two friendly countries, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
