Information Minister crowns National Day race winner

Manama, Dec. 11 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, today crowned the winner of the National Day Cup, held under the patronage of the Information Affairs Ministry at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, as part of the kingdom’s celebrations of its glorious National Days. The minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, led by Chairman HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Deputy Chairman, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for their good efforts to develop the equestrian sport, and great support for organising the championship within a perfect healthy atmosphere, thanks to the Club’s creative executive management, modern facilities and commitment to all precautionary measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus. Al-Romaihi presented the trophy of the National Day race to the “Victorious” stable, which is owned by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Trainer Fawzi Nass received the trophy after Victorious’ horse, “New Show”, ridden by jockey Ben Sanderson, won the race. The minister extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the glorious National Days, expressing the Information Affairs Ministry’s pride in participating in the Bahraini people’s festivities and joy over the kingdom’s continuous achievements of its pioneering comprehensive development.
