Outstanding honours for Bahraini NSSA engineer, technician

Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): Two National Space Science Agency (NSSA) employees have participated in a training program, "Foundations of Artificial Intelligence", organized by the University of Saint Petersburg.
The participation of Muneera Al Malki, an engineer, and Shayma Al Meer, a technician, is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to deepen interest in future sciences, including space science , technology and artificial intelligence.
Their involvement was also part of the NSSA plans to empower young Bahrainis to excel in these fields.
The training covered several important topics that form the foundations of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, inductive and deductive learning, classification of machine learning algorithms, binary classification, logistic regression, deep learning and data processing techniques.
The two employees successfully completed the training, achieved high scores and graduated with honors within a group of trainees specialized in the field from around the world.
Muneera and Shaima said the achievement is the outcome of great efforts, continuous motivation and a real determination among those in charge of the NSSA to boost the capabilities of Bahrainis and fulfill the ambitious national vision to establish a sustainable space sector in Bahrain.
They expressed gratitude to the NSSA executives for their continuous support and encouragement and said they were indebted to Bahrain for giving them the opportunity to build their capacities, improve their capabilities and enhance their skills despite the exceptional circumstances that have affected the world.
NSSA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Ebrahim Al Aseeri commended the two employees for their great dedication and outstanding achievement in a prestigious institution.
He wished them more accomplishments and further knowledge that would enable them to contribute to achieving the vision, mission and goals of the NSSA.
